A wardrobe app for people who own plenty and still stand in front of the cupboard at 7:42 in the morning. Photograph each piece once, then ask for an outfit in the words you would actually say. We designed it, built it and run it.

How it hangs together.

The app is arranged the way people get dressed: what you own, and who is going to see you in it.

Every drawer, indexed.

One photo per item. Type, colour, material and season are tagged for you, and the piece lands in the drawer you would have put it in yourself. No forms to fill in, no barcodes to hunt, and no spreadsheet of your own clothes.

Ask it the way you would ask a friend.

Type what you need. Something for a job interview. A light outfit for a warm spring day. What comes back is a real outfit, assembled from clothes already in the wardrobe, with a short note explaining why those pieces and not the others.

What is in it.

Six things the app does.

  1. Wardrobe captureA photo per item, tagged for type, colour, material and season without you typing anything.
  2. The assistantAsk for an outfit in plain language. The answer is drawn from your own clothes and comes with a match score.
  3. Who is in the roomA studio review reads differently from dinner with a friend. Say who will be in the room and the suggestion shifts.
  4. Style signatureBuilt from what you log, what you wear and what you swipe past. Editable whenever it gets you wrong.
  5. Outfit historyEvery combination you have worn, kept and searchable.
  6. Ten languagesEnglish, Turkish, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Hindi, Chinese, Japanese and Korean, chosen on first launch.

Why a studio builds its own app.

Client work has an end date and a sign-off. Your own product has neither, so you live with every shortcut you took: the tagging that is nearly right, the empty state nobody wrote, the screen that only holds together on a large phone. ClotheMeFor is where we find those out about ourselves, at our own expense, instead of in somebody else’s project.

We did, all of it: the product decisions, the interface, the app, the backend and the support inbox. It is not a template with our name on the splash screen.

Yes, and a good deal of our work is exactly that. The difference is who owns the result: at the end of a client project the product, the code and the accounts it runs on are yours.
