ThereIn

An AI companion for the feelings people would rather not look at. It asks the questions, remembers the answers and keeps every feeling it finds on a map, so tomorrow starts where today stopped. We designed it, built it and run it.

ThereIn open on a phone, with the companion asking what the person did with an old feeling

Where the work happens.

A conversation to find a feeling, and a map to keep it on.

It asks. You answer in your own words.

A discovery starts from one moment: a meeting that got moved, a message left on read. The companion takes it from there and builds each question out of your last answer. There are no suggested replies to tap, because a tapped answer is never quite yours. Not answering is always allowed.

The ThereIn discovery screen, where the companion links a work meeting to a memory from home and asks a question about it

Every feeling it finds, kept on a map.

Nothing is saved until you have checked it. After that each feeling sits on your map with where you feel it in the body, what sets it off, and whether it is gaining ground or losing its hold. The more often it comes back, the bigger it gets. When it stops coming back, it moves to the other side of the map, the things you have set down.

The ThereIn map screen, showing anxiety, shame, anger, loneliness, guilt and resentment, each sized by how often it was caught

What it does.

In the order most people meet it.

  1. DiscoveryA guided conversation about one moment. It ends with a feeling named, placed in the body and confirmed by you.
  2. The mapEvery feeling you have found, with its trigger and which way it is moving.
  3. SessionsA conversation about one feeling already on the map, to loosen its hold. Each session picks up where the last one stopped.
  4. End of day balance reportA short look back before bed. If the feeling did not come today, nothing is saved and nothing moves.
  5. MeditationsRecorded with a real voice, not generated. Each one downloads once and then plays offline.
  6. Locked, and yoursFace ID, Face Unlock or a passcode on the app itself. What you write is never sold or handed to anyone to train a model, and you can delete it from inside the app.

The hardest brief we have set ourselves.

Someone opens this app on a bad evening. There is no room for a lazy default in that. Every screen in ThereIn had to answer for itself: what does it cost a person who is already having a hard day, what happens to the words they type, and where is a real person if they need one. Those answers are why there are no suggested replies, why nothing is saved until you have checked it, and why support services are one tap away on every plan.

Questions, answered.

iPhone and Android, on the App Store and Google Play.

Ten: English, Turkish, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Hindi, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. Spanish and Portuguese each come in two versions, and Chinese in Simplified and Traditional.

The free plan has a monthly allowance of conversations, five meditations and the whole map. Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription through the store, with no allowance and the full meditation library.

No, and the app says so. ThereIn is a tool for self reflection. It does not diagnose anything and it does not replace a professional. The support services listed in it are free on every plan.

We did: the product decisions, the conversation design, the interface, the app, the backend and the support inbox.

Yes. At the end of a client project the product, the code and the accounts it runs on are yours. What we would bring from ThereIn is the care over what happens to the things people type.

Download it, or bring us yours.

ThereIn is free to start on the App Store and Google Play. If you are planning an app people will trust with something personal, talk to the studio that built this one.

Support for the app itself is handled at support@thereinapp.co.
